At Baker Street Yoga, we offer many different class types and teaching styles. Please take a look at the below class descriptions to help you navigate our schedule on MindBody. Please email hello@bakerstreetyoga.com with any questions!
BAKER FLOW (heated): Our vinyasa class begins with stretching, Sun Salutations, a standing sequence and ends with floor stretches and savasana. Baker Flow links movement with breath creating heat and dynamic movement throughout the body.
*Yoga experience recommended, not required. Check out our Basics or Foundations class if just starting out.
BAKER FLOW 2 (heated): A stronger version of our vinyasa Flow class. Flow 2 begins with stretching, Sun Salutations, a standing sequence and ends with floor stretches and savasana. This class may include more advanced postures such as arm balances and inversions.
*Yoga experience recommended. Check out our Foundations or Flow class if just starting out.
BAKER SLOW FLOW (heated): Baker Slow Flow is a slower version of our regular vinyasa Flow class. Expect to hold standing poses longer with some yin yoga for deep stillness, while still focusing on mindful movements.
*Yoga experience recommended, not required. Check out our Basics or Foundations class if just starting out.
BAKER TRADITIONAL (low heat): Michael Simpson’s Traditional signature, 90-minute yoga class begins with an intelligent asana flow accessible to students of all ages and abilities, with modifications offered to regress or progress each movement as needed. After warming up and building strength, students will settle into a series of relaxing restorative postures that calm the nervous system. Class ends with a brief meditation to quiet the mind and ease the transition back to everyday life.
What makes this class intelligent? Each student in a group class has unique needs. Michael strongly encourages all students to retain their individuality while sharing a group experience. After all, you are your best advocate.
BAKER FOUNDATIONS (low heat): An approachable, beginner-friendly class to help you become familiar with the practice. Modifications will be offered.
*Yoga experience not required. Please let the instructor know if you are new to yoga.
BAKER POWER (heated): Expect a more rigorous & fast-paced practice than our regular Baker Flow class. Each class will include more challenging poses (such as inversions or arm balances) while maintaining breath awareness and pushing your physical limits. You will sweat!
*Previous yoga experience recommended.
BAKER SCULPT (low heat): Class will use 3lb weights, or bring your own!
Light weights combined with yoga power flow, this class is fast paced and will get the heart pumping!
*Previous yoga experience highly recommended.
